We Represent...

Dynamixyz:

Motives in Movement is proud to be a representative and ambassador for Dynamixyz products and offerings. Motives in Movement met Dynamixyz at Gamescom 2010. Our companies have similar attitudes to facial animation, believing dynamic based facial software applications are a leap forward from existing FACS pose-based models.

The cutting edge solution proposed by Dynamixyz relies in the statistical modelling of facial expressions. This means an almost complete reduction in keyframing, together with ground breaking real time capture capabilities. This brings all the subtle and idiosyncratic facial performances that actors can offer, directly to the screen. All this whilst increasing the options available to animators, and seriously reducing time waste and reducing costs...

To arrange a demo of Performer Facial Capture, and more information about how Dynamixyz products can add value to your project, please email contact@motivesinmovement.com

Performer:

Performer

Capturing subtle human facial expressions accurately and reproducing them exactly and realistically on a 3D character remains an extremely complex task. Currently, there is still no satisfactory solution available for capturing facial movements. Building on its expertise in the analysis field, Dynamixyz is spearheading significant advances in this area and can therefore offer the most comprehensive facial performance capture solution available today.

Director:

Director

Director is a high quality facial animation tool designed for video game industry professionals and animation film production studios. Director Plugin can be used as a plug-in for authoring, with 3DS Max, Motion Builder, and Maya in 2012. Director RT is an integrated library within a 2D/3D engine, for real-time use. Supported by Dynamixyz technology, Director is capable of creating perfect facial animations from which highly realistic expressions can be generated; Director also offers extremely sophisticated lip syncing.

Observer:

Observer

Observer is a facial feature detection and tracking solution designed for use within various applications. The solution can be used to detect characteristic features (eyes, nose and mouth) on still images, for indexing or classification purposes, for example. However, it can also be used in a real-time context as a control or detection interface for expressions within a video game. In fact the system operates in real-time on unknown faces for a wide range of people. The system’s capabilities also include the detection of head orientation, or even eyebrow and mouth movement in the most advanced version, even from a standard webcam.

A.D.N. (Digital Doubles Agency)

Motives in Movement is ambassador and consultant for A.D.N. We share a common interest in protecting producers and actors using digital doubles, providing a sound legal framework that covers all aspects of digital doublage and its potential use. As A.D.N represents the Actor’s digital double, and “holds” it on their behalf, it can be made available for multiple projects and seriously reduce capital outlay on capture processes and project overheads. This can avoid projects being stalled by lack of actor availability, prohibitive data capture costs, or being plagued by costly contractual confusion.

Motives in Movement sees the convergence of modern digital technology and the age old craft of acting to be a great opportunity for a new generation of entertainment and works of art. It can also be a wild-west when it comes to the legal aspects of digital rights, and prohibitively expensive to engage a high profile actor, or create a digital double.

A.D.N and Motives in Movement are natural partners, as we share the belief that it’s better to work together under a framework that respects and defines the relationship and skills that producers and actors each bring to a project.

To discuss how ADN can help actors and producers protect, and make the most of digital doublage in video games or film please email contact@motivesinmovement.com
